About the Role

Reporting to the State Sales Manager, you’ll be responsible for growing your territory by developing strong customer partnerships and identifying new sales opportunities. You’ll build strong relationships with wholesalers, contractors, and end users, becoming a trusted advisor who understands customer needs and delivers tailored solutions.

From promoting products and managing customer accounts to analysing sales trends and supporting in branch merchandising, you’ll gain hands on experience across the full sales lifecycle. You’ll also collaborate with internal teams across Sales, Marketing, and Training to ensure consistent execution of strategies and a seamless customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and grow your territory by identifying new business opportunities and strengthening existing customer relationships. 

• Deliver regular, proactive customer engagement: understanding their business, identifying opportunities, and providing tailored solutions. 

• Promote products and solutions through effective sales techniques, product knowledge, and customer training. 

• Manage the sales cycle end to end, including planning, forecasting, and achieving agreed sales and profit targets. 

• Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, objectives, and outcomes using CRM tools. 

• Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback to inform strategy and identify opportunities. 

• Support wholesale partners through effective merchandising, stock management, and in branch promotions. 

• Coordinate product training and stay up to date with new product releases and industry developments.

Your Profile

• Proven experience in a sales role (technical or trade environment preferred) 

• Strong communication and relationship building skills 

• A confident, solutions focused approach to selling 

• Ability to analyse data, identify trends, and translate insights into action 

• Self-motivated, organised, and able to manage a territory independently 

• Adaptable and comfortable working in a dynamic environment 

• Experience using CRM systems and sales analytics tools (SAP advantageous) 

• Electrical or technical product knowledge highly regarded
